I currently work for Dr. Wallace Berry in the Auburn University Department of Poultry Science. Dr. Berry does research in Reproductive Physiology. Research is very time consuming and tedious work everyday holds something new with this job there is never a dull moment. At any given time I am apart of four to five research trials which always provide new challenges. My job consists of lab work, data entry, and also animal care. One our more interesting trials involves layer hens and shell quality. Once a month I collect eggs and record weights of the egg, egg shell, and breaking strength of the shell. Dr. Berry has taught me so much and has given me so many opportunities to see different parts of the poultry industry.
